Position Summary

The Delivery Truck Driver is responsible for transporting and delivering cylinders safely and efficiently to customers while ensuring compliance with company procedures, road safety regulations, and customer service expectations. The successful candidate will maintain high standards of vehicle care, demonstrate professionalism on the road, and contribute to reliable delivery operations.

Key Duties and

Responsibilities

Safely collect, transport, and deliver cylinders to customers according to scheduled delivery plans.

Ensure timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with company safety procedures and customer

requirements.

Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues, defects, or maintenance needs promptly.

Maintain cleanliness, proper handling, and safe transportation of cylinders at all times.

Verify delivery documentation and ensure accurate completion of delivery records.

Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with customers.

Follow approved routes, traffic regulations, and company driving policies.

Handle customer deliveries responsibly and report any delivery challenges or incidents to supervisors.

Support loading and unloading activities while ensuring safe handling procedures are followed.

Maintain a clean driving record and demonstrate responsible vehicle operation.

Assist with basic vehicle care and ensure assigned vehicles remain in good operating condition.

Comply with all company health, safety, and environmental

requirements.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Education and Licensing

Minimum of Senior High School (SHS) certificate or equivalent.

Valid Ghanaian Driver’s Licence issued by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA).

Must possess a valid commercial driving licence with Class C or above.

Experience and Competencies

Previous experience driving delivery trucks, commercial vehicles, or similar transport vehicles is an advantage.

Good knowledge of road networks within Accra and surrounding areas.

Strong understanding of road safety practices and responsible driving standards.

Ability to follow delivery schedules and manage time effectively.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and professionalism.

Ability to work independently while maintaining company standards.

Physically fit and able to support loading and unloading activities.
