Job Summary

The Experienced Driver will provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation for company personnel, materials, documents, and other authorized items.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent driving skills, strong knowledge of road safety, good knowledge of routes within Accra and surrounding areas, and a high level of responsibility when handling company vehicles and assignments.

Key

Responsibilities

Drive company vehicles safely and responsibly in accordance with road traffic laws and company policies.

Transport staff, management, materials, documents, and other authorized items to designated

locations.

Ensure passengers and transported items reach their destinations safely and on time.

Plan routes effectively and consider traffic, road conditions, and delivery schedules.

Maintain punctuality and respond promptly to assigned driving requests.

Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles.

Check essential vehicle components, including tyres, brakes, lights, engine oil, coolant, and other fluid levels.

Report mechanical faults, unusual noises, warning indicators, accidents, or vehicle damage immediately.

Keep assigned vehicles clean, presentable, and in good operating condition.

Coordinate vehicle servicing, maintenance, inspections, and repairs with the appropriate department.

Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, mileage records, fuel records, and maintenance documentation.

Monitor fuel usage and report unusual consumption or vehicle-related expenses.

Follow all company procedures relating to vehicle use, fuel, maintenance, and authorized travel.

Ensure all required vehicle documents, including insurance, roadworthy certification, and other statutory documents, remain valid.

Assist with loading and unloading materials when required, ensuring items remain secure during transportation.

Handle company documents, goods, and passenger information with confidentiality and care.

Maintain professional and courteous conduct when interacting with employees, customers, suppliers, officials, and members of the public.

Observe defensive-driving practices and maintain a high level of awareness of road and passenger safety.

Immediately report traffic incidents, accidents, or other emergencies to the appropriate supervisor.

Support urgent transportation and logistics assignments when required.

Perform other driving and logistics-related duties assigned by management.

Educational & Experience

Requirements

Minimum of a Degree or Diploma in any relevant discipline.

A valid Ghanaian driver’s licence appropriate for the type of vehicle operated.

Minimum of 3 years of proven professional driving experience.

Demonstrated experience driving company, commercial, logistics, or operational vehicles.

Clean and responsible driving record.

Familiarity with Accra, Weija, and surrounding areas will be an advantage.

Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.

Ability to use basic mobile and navigation applications for route planning will be an advantage.
