As a French Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging French lessons that make language learning enjoyable, practical, and accessible to primary school pupils. You will encourage pupils to communicate confidently in French while developing their vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, and comprehension skills.

Key
Plan and deliver age-appropriate French lessons based on the school’s curriculum.
Create a welcoming classroom environment that encourages pupils to participate actively.
Use creative and interactive teaching methods to make French lessons engaging.
Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, and assessments.
Assess pupils’ learning and provide constructive feedback to improve their performance.
Track and maintain accurate records of pupils’ academic progress.
Support pupils who require additional assistance with their French language development.
Encourage pupils to develop confidence in speaking, reading, and writing French.
Integrate relevant French culture and everyday expressions into classroom activities.
Maintain effective classroom discipline and promote respectful behaviour.
Work closely with other teachers, parents, and school leadership to support pupils’ overall development.
Participate actively in school events, meetings, and professional development activities.
Educational
Requirements and Experience
Hold WASSCE, a Diploma, or a Degree in Basic Education or a related field.
Have at least four (4) years of teaching experience.
Demonstrate a strong command of the French language.
Have experience teaching primary school pupils.
Be mature, responsible, patient, and committed to working with children.
Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills.
Show enthusiasm for teaching and a genuine interest in pupils’ development.
