Position Summary

The General Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for the resort, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, efficient business operations, financial performance, and a positive workplace culture. The successful candidate will oversee all departments, implement business strategies, and maintain the highest standards of service, quality, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership and direction for the resort’s daily operations.

Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and business performance.

Oversee the activities of all departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, Maintenance, Wellness Services, Finance, Sales, and Administration.

Ensure exceptional customer service and maintain high hospitality standards across the resort.

Develop and monitor budgets, financial performance, and operational targets.

Identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve profitability.

Lead, motivate, mentor, and evaluate staff to promote high performance and professional development.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory

requirements.

Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, suppliers, business partners, and local stakeholders.

Support marketing, promotional, and business development initiatives to strengthen the resort’s market presence.

Prepare operational and financial reports for management.

Foster a culture of teamwork, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess

A Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Tourism Management, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.

A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of management experience, preferably within the hospitality, resort, hotel, or tourism industry.

Proven leadership and people management skills.

Strong business acumen with experience in budgeting, financial management, and operational planning.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Ability to make sound decisions, solve problems effectively, and manage multiple priorities.

High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with hospitality management systems will be an added advantage.
