The successful candidate will create a welcoming and stimulating classroom environment, deliver high-quality Physics instruction, and prepare students effectively for their IGCSE and A-Level examinations. The teacher will use engaging, student-centred approaches to make Physics accessible, relevant, and intellectually challenging.

Key

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Physics lessons aligned with the IGCSE and A-Level curriculum.

Create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.

Develop students’ conceptual understanding, problem-solving abilities, and practical laboratory skills.

Use a range of effective teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.

Conduct practical experiments and ensure students develop strong scientific investigation skills.

Assess students’ progress regularly and provide constructive, timely feedback.

Prepare students thoroughly for internal assessments, mock examinations, and external examinations.

Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and academic progress.

Identify students who require additional support and implement appropriate interventions.

Encourage students to think critically, ask questions, and apply Physics concepts to real-world situations.

Maintain effective communication with parents, colleagues, and school leadership regarding student progress.

Participate actively in departmental meetings, school activities, professional development, and other assigned

responsibilities.

Maintain a safe, orderly, and positive learning environment in accordance with school policies.

Educational and Professional

Requirements

Applicants should possess

A relevant Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Education, or a closely related field.

A recognised teaching qualification or professional teaching certification.

Demonstrable experience teaching IGCSE and A-Level Physics.

Strong knowledge of the relevant curriculum, assessment

requirements, and examination standards.

Strong classroom management, communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.

The ability to use technology and appropriate digital resources to enhance teaching and learning.

A commitment to continuous professional development and student-centred education.
