About the Role

As a KG Teacher, you will guide young learners through an important stage of their educational journey. You will use creative and child-centred teaching approaches to develop early literacy, numeracy, communication, social skills, independence, creativity, and a positive attitude towards learning.

You will create a classroom where children feel safe, valued, encouraged, and excited to learn.

Responsibilities

Create a safe, welcoming, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.

Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities.

Use play-based learning, storytelling, music, creative activities, and practical experiences to make learning enjoyable.

Develop learners’ early literacy, numeracy, language, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

Establish positive classroom routines and maintain effective classroom management.

Encourage learners to develop confidence, independence, cooperation, respect, and good behavior.

Observe learners’ development and monitor their academic and personal progress.

Identify individual learning needs and provide appropriate support and encouragement.

Maintain a clean, organised, and child-friendly classroom.

Communicate professionally with parents and guardians about learners’ progress and development.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve the school’s educational objectives.

Maintain accurate learner and classroom records where required.

Promote a positive school culture and uphold professional standards at all times.

Participate actively in school programmes, meetings, training, and professional development activities.

Safeguard the wellbeing, safety, and dignity of every learner.

Perform other reasonable duties assigned by the school administration.

Requirements

Relevant teaching qualification and/or teaching experience.

Strong communication and classroom management skills.

Genuine passion for teaching and working with children.

Responsible, punctual, hardworking, and professional.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Commitment to the academic and personal development of learners.

Patience, creativity, enthusiasm, and a caring approach to teaching young children.
