Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that support learners’ academic development.

Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.

Use effective teaching strategies to accommodate different learning abilities and needs.

Assess learners’ progress and maintain accurate records of academic performance.

Provide constructive feedback that helps learners understand and improve their work.

Identify learners who require additional academic or pastoral support and work with relevant staff to address their needs.

Encourage pupils to develop confidence, curiosity, creativity, independence, and positive learning habits.

Establish clear classroom expectations and promote respectful behaviour.

Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment in line with school policies and safeguarding standards.

Prepare teaching materials, classroom resources, assignments, assessments, and other learning activities.

Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and guardians regarding learners’ progress and development.

Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leadership to improve teaching and learning outcomes.

Participate in staff meetings, professional development activities, school events, and extracurricular programmes.

Support school activities and initiatives that promote the holistic development of learners.

Maintain accurate attendance, assessment, and other required classroom records.

Stay informed about effective teaching practices and apply innovative approaches where appropriate.

Uphold the school’s values, policies, professional standards, and code of conduct.

Perform other teaching-related duties assigned by the school administration.
